VMX Software Framework

At the heart of every VMX phone system is our proprietary VMX Software Framework. Engineered by our R&D team for use in Linux based computers, the software is hardware agnostic - your only requirement is that your hardware platform runs Linux.

Our VMX software runs on a variety of Linux devices including embedded PCs and virtual machines hosted on servers in the cloud.

Original Equipment Manufacturers

If you are an Original Equipment Manufacturer seeking to build your own range of Linux based PBX systems, Emutex will happily work with you to integrate the VMX software and tailor it to produce your own unique flavour of PBX features and product.

The VMX Software Framework is available under commercial license and is supplied with documentation, training, engineering assistance and technical support.

Software Architecture

The VMX Software Framework provides a suite of software build blocks and tools that enable you to easily stream voice packets between endpoints and transforms. Examples of physical endpoints include SIP phones and SIP trunks (used in VoIP). Examples of virtual endpoints include auto attendants, call queues and voice mail boxes. Examples of transforms include call recorders, tone detectors and voice codecs.

Our software is available in a mix of binary and source code formats. Source code scopes C, C++, PHP, SQL, HTML/CSS and VxScript.

VxScript is our easy to learn scripting language that engineers use to rapidly code endpoints and call signalling state machines.
